WOOD CONSTRUCTION is deeply embedded in the forestry heartland of Latvia. Based in Upites, Praulienas pagasts, Madonas novads, we operate in an area renowned for its dense, slow-growing coniferous woodlands.
Latvian winters shape our trees, forcing them to grow slowly, which results in exceptionally tight growth rings. This natural process yields wood with unmatched structural strength, high density, and natural resistance to decay. We harvest this superior raw material and manufacture it to exceed the most stringent European building and ecological standards.
The Circular Timber Philosophy
We do not just harvest timber; we cultivate forests. At WOOD CONSTRUCTION, we practice a strict circular resource philosophy. Every tree harvested is carefully mapped, and three new saplings are planted in its place during the reforestation phase.
In our mills, we utilize state-of-the-art computer-controlled profiling to maximize log yield. Wood chips, bark, and shavings generated during the sawing and planing process are compressed into high-grade heating pellets or used for kiln heat generation. Zero waste is our baseline, ensuring that Latvia's green gold is fully respected and preserved.

Whether assembling heavy timber framing for a modern villa or hand-scribing logs for a rustic cabin, our work is characterized by precision. We combine ancient Baltic joinery techniques with modern structural CAD modeling.
This allows us to pre-fabricate timber frames to millimeter tolerances in our climate-controlled facilities before transporting them to construction sites. The result is a seamless assembly process, perfect air-tightness, and buildings that deliver outstanding thermal performance to withstand cold northern climates.
